you're talking to a reverse-engineer, so you know that i am.
the problem is that there are so many different "signs" from so many
different directions that it becomes completely overwhelming to
enumerate them all, track them all down, and describe them all.
but, worse than that, if i *was* to enumerate them all there would be
not a single person on the planet willing to read everything that i
wrote.
more than that, it would take such a long time that i would run out
of patience well before i completed any such "report".
this is a *systemic* problem, phil. the actual source code - and the
flaws *in* that source code - are merely symptoms of an underlying
"illness" within the software libre community that has absolutely
nothing to do with technical mastery.
remember, you're talking to someone who notices far more than they
can actually describe in words, who takes in sparse and disparate
information from a huge array of sources (and draws correct
conclusions that other people simply cannot achieve... or,
unfortunately, accept). we can get hung up on the details if you
like, but that will not help (at all).
