About arm-netbook
|
|
Welcome to the ineptly-named "Arm-netbook" mailing list
which used to be about ARM processor based netbooks but
has evolved considerably since.
To interact with people on this list you should familiarise
yourself with the concept of "mailing list etiquette" and
so should search for that and read some examples:
https://www.google.com/search?q=mailing+list+etiquette
the best of which is here:
http://linux.sgms-centre.com/misc/netiquette.php
This list is highly technical and diverse: the rules of
interaction (formatting of replies) which best apply are
shown here with examples:
http://howto-pages.org/posting_style
Also useful would be to catch up with some of the archives:
http://lists.phcomp.co.uk/pipermail/arm-netbook/
And also perhaps to review some of the recent changes to
the associated website:
http://rhombus-tech.net/recentchanges/
The current focus is on EOMA68: the standard is here:
http://elinux.org/Embedded_Open_Modular_Architecture/EOMA68
However there are other hardware standards that are being
considered, which may also come up in discussion.
This is quite an eclectic list, with topics ranging from
software to hardware to philosophy and more: you are all
welcome, just bear in mind that the goal is to bring
desirable eco-conscious ethical computing devices to
world-wide mass-volume markets.
