 ack.

judging by wits-tech's previous rate, it'd likely be about 2 weeks.

however we need to raise appx $2,000 to pay for the 10 samples which
were sent off before i noticed the error. there's no guarantee that
they'll work though! wits-tech is good, so there's a good chance
they'll just work straight off, but it's *not* guaranteed.

right. it took me this long to admit that i'd screwed up. sorry,
everyone. *sigh*.

ok. it's more that there's an immediate list of critical tasks that
need to be taken care of, more than there's information to share. the
critical tasks are:

 * find a PCMCIA frame kit. this is absolutely critical. we need to
find the frame kit because it defines - to the 0.1mm - the size of the
PCB. it'll be *about* 75x44mm (not 86x54 - that's the size of the
PCMCIA card... *sigh*)

 * get a litkconn PCMCIA 68F connector over to wits-tech [i.e. someone
has to ring them and/or go round and dip their hand into the
bucket-of-bits marked "PCMCIA 68F"] not the "PCMCIA 68F SMT" version
because wits-tech picked the wrong connector (34 pins TOP, 34 pins
BOTTOM) rather than the one i picked (68 pins SMT on TOP).

 * pay for the 1st batch of (incorrect, but probably still functional)
PCBs and get them populated.

... actually, if the 1st batch works, then for those people who don't
mind that the PCB size is 85x55 or thereabouts, i.e. who don't
specifically want something that fits into a PCMCIA case, then we can
put a batch order together and get it made up.

but we need to test this first batch, first.

right, that's still being negotiated with the client. i must write
to him again. i spoke to him on skype last week, wrote up some parts
of the proposal but haven't heard back from him. will ping him.
mostly it's about the software.

he's agreed to go with the A10 CPU Card even just for testing
purposes, to get something done.
