The installer source in my branch is based on current "trunk" of the D-I
source code and not on the Lenny branch. This means it is based on the
Squeeze version of the installer, which in turn means it should be built
in a Sid environment (either a Sid system or a Lenny system with a Sid
chroot).

Building in a Squeeze environment may be possible, but is not recommended.

As the Squeeze installer supports installing both Squeeze and Lenny, it
makes more sense to use that than the Lenny installer. The Lenny installer
is known to be incompatible with Squeeze.
