It is also possible to flash _only_ a kernel. If the u-boot .bin file is
not there, it will simply be skipped and only the kernel will be flashed.
This saves write to the flash memory, but more importantly it also reduces
the risk of bricking the system due to an incomplete/incorrect flash of
u-boot.
