also, michael: what condition was the wrapping in?  were there signs
that the wrapping had been tampered with, and re-taped?  that happened
to a laptop i got delivered from the UK to the US: customs unpacked
the packaging right down to the machine and its PSU, then repackaged
it (fairly well).
