alejandro - patience.  we caught them just before chinese new year;
the OS has been supplied to the factory "as-is"; they have promised to
provide an "upgrade" version of the OS _after_ chinese new year and
everyone gets back from having seen their families for the first time
in eleven months.

everything else is _us_ being impatient, looking for ways to crack the
machine whilst we wait for the entire country of china to begin work
again.
