oo, oo, exciting! not quite there yet, but i cut R2 on the MEB, joined pin 1 to 11 with a wire, compiled sun7i_wemac.ko and got a "link detected"! no actual traffic, mind (awwww) but it's getting there. i will try with the removed RJ45, plug the wires up the bum of the 68-pin connector, see what happens...
