Hi,
Any EOMA (68 or CF) will have more powerful hardware?
Is Luke/Rhombus going to focus on EOMA-68 or on EOMA-CF?
Is there a new EOMA-68 in the process with more powerful hardware (like Allwinner A80)?
What will be the hardware of EOMA-CF?
Thanks.

yes if the processors can be found.

CF is very small. it will therefore be quite costly, as well as needing custom case-work. we will wait until there are sales (or funding) before proceeding with EOMA-CF.
which reminds me to reiterate: we need sales of the EOMA68-A20 before anything further may proceed.

we need the specs on the A80 first before being able to make a decision.

anything that will fit into the form-factor. you can see the interfaces listed on the page.

Due to the limitations of money, I think it's better to focus on one product (EOMA-68 or EOMA-CF). For example, I think it's better to launch several EOMA-68 before launching the first EOMA-CF because otherwise the devices as Improv or KDE-Tablet will not have much support (these devices are not compatible with EOMA-CF).
On the other hand, a EOMA-68 problem is that there is only one EOMA-68 (EOMA-68-A20), which is slightly powerful nowadays. I suppose that many users expect a more powerful EOMA-68 (like Allwinner A80, Tegra K1 or Exynos5 Octa).
Finally, how many EOMA-68-A20 need to be sold? How many EOMA-68-A20 have been sold? I guess until the KDE-Tablet (and other products) is not sold, EOMA-68-A20 sales do not increase (since Improv has not sold very well, partly because of poor promotion).
Thanks.

that has always been the plan, yes.

unfortunately the team behind Improv has not come up with the order. QiMod Ltd will not be supplying them with product because the relationship with the factory has been adversely affected. we have asked them to remove all mention of EOMA from their web site.
Finally, how many EOMA-68-A20 need to be sold?
that depends on what people are prepared to pay. from the experience that we have had, we have however set a MOQ of 1k units.
How many EOMA-68-A20 have been sold?
the original 30 samples from the first batch.

Bad news. Does the development of the KDE-Tablet has been canceled? Does the development of the Plasma Active for EOMA-A20 has been canceled?

Do you have plans to launch a development board as Improv to sell EOMA-68-A20?
Thanks.

no - just news.
Does the development of the KDE-Tablet has been canceled?
that is up to them.
Does the development of the Plasma Active for EOMA-A20 has been canceled?
that is up to our former client.

Improv is nothing to do with QiMod Ltd: they are (were) a client.
once the people who have placed orders for Improvs have had their money returned (many of whom were from the rhombus tech preorders list) we will be able to offer them a board with a modified (corrected) version of the Micro Engineering Board.

Any plans for crowd funding? ITead Studio raised USD11,308 via Indiegogo for their iBox A20 device earlier this month.

yes... *sigh* except i have had to take a contract in holland in order to earn money so that i can keep my family. so if someone else would like to help do the micro engineering board, that would help. i will give you a list of suppliers and parts.

Does the team behind the KDE-Tablet is the same team behind the Improv? If so, I suppose the KDE-Tablet is canceled (because the Improv seems canceled according to their forums).

I suppose you should inform you that you are going to launch a development board so that people can buy it.
On the other hand, what products are being developed for the EOMA-68?
Thanks.
