almost there, just need a last schematics review, the plan is to send the PCB off early next week (2-3 days time). I REALLY NEED HELP here. reviewing schematics and so on. this will be the first board i've done, and it's detailed and complex (but not amazingly hard).
phil, nginx/apache appears to be out on hands.com so i'm putting a copy of the schematics here: http://lkcl.net/tablet2.pdf

one nice addition, possibility of supporting a 1024x768 9in LCD (LG LP097X02-SLA3). the connections aren't that different (but it still took 20 zero-ohm resistors to do it!)
so this is turning the PCB into both a laptop and a larger tablet I/O board - one that could take a SATA drive. cool, huh?

ok to make this easy - as in "anyone can do it" - i've placed a set of images from which i have pretty much literally cut/paste the schematics from them: app notes, datasheets and so on. the images are here: http://hands.com/~lkcl/eoma/kde_tablet/rev3_review/
so it's *literally* a matter of "print out the two and compare". i really *really* need people's help going over these - you do not need to be an electronics expert, you only need an eye for detail.
two things:
1) are the connections the same? 2) are the values (resistor, capacitor) the same?
that's all i need, but it's essential that it gets done.

OK, here's your corrections -- as 'sticky notes' within the PDF --> http://www1.datafilehost.com/d/3ef283e8 (uncheck the "download manager" checkbox, and click "DOWNLOAD" -- do NOT click "DOWNLOAD NOW" if you see it; that's an ad and is NOT legit)
Let me know if any problems... or if I've been a tremendous dunderhead :P

awesome chris - thank you, got it. i've also printed everything out (an hour ago), done a compare.... found over *twenty five* mistakes... oops :) SATA wrong way round... still have to check Ethernet, Touch, I2C, MXC6225, and the ATSAM4S. R11 needs to be 4.7k, R12 and R13 need to go (I2C pull-down is already on EOMA68), R4 goes, the RESET# needs a 100k resistor on input....
let's see what you found, eh? :)

hi chris one thing i forgot to mention, i put 4.7uF capacitors in some places where there were 10uF, and there's a "code" for capacitors - 475 is the same as 4.7uF (4.7 farads x 10-3) for example. 47 means "4.7" and 5 means "x10000" 103 is 1.0x1000 which works out aaat i thiiink... 10nF (10nf x 10-9) or something like that. it's helpful you noted them because it means i have to verify them!

chris hi,
whilst you may not have actually noticed it the review that you did allowed me to look more closely at the use of the FE1.1s usb hub ic (you picked up on a component being marked as AP811), where i then noticed that actually, those power regulators aren't needed at all :)
so, thank you - you just a) saved some horrible mistakes b) cut the BOM as well :)

Yeah sorry about that -- I had a disk drop off it's SATA, so thought that while I was doing some minor maintenance I might as well upgrade to "wheezy" and then for good measure, upgrade the file systems to ext4.
All of which involved a few fsck's, with the main file-system taking several hours each time.
Normal service should have resumed this morning though -- please mention any oddities you notice.
Cheers, Phil.

ah one of those "drop everything and get on with it" emergencies.

good job you didn't upgrade to btrfs. btrfs tends to put the load average up to ooo 30 and climbing when the filesystem approaches 100% capacity.

git push and pull to git.rhombus-tech.net work fine. ikiwiki fine. looks good to me.
