unfortunately just the firmware being entirely libre isn't enough if
the company itself operates as a totally unethical cartel.
broadcom is at heart a completely unethical company. the only reason
they have released firmware is because they're absolutely deluged with
complaints, because of the popularity of the raspberry pi products.
now, if that situation ever changes and you hear of a way to
*guarantee* getting hold of BCM2837 processors... and get hold of the
schematics and get hold of the datasheet and get hold of a PCB CAD
Reference Design... *ALL WITHOUT AN NDA*....
.... *then* it can be considered.
