 all looks reasonable, although i'd put 1&2 at potentially
interchangeable.  on the 4.7 kernel i'm seeing 25mbyte/sec sustained
(20mbytes/sec sustained on 3.4) out of a sandisk ultra plus (rated at
85mbyte/sec).

 pretty frickin quick in other words.
