just as a reminder to everyone, as alain is kindly running the
mailman software for us, every single message that goes out contains
headers with the instructions as to how you may subscribe and
unsubscribe. these headers are in a standard format that may be
picked up by automated systems (such as gmail) as a way to help you
unsubscribe, but as they are in plain english text and are readable
instructions i am copying them here in case you did not notice that
they are in every single message that is sent out to everyone:
