I'm have a fanless miniITX board with AMD-E350 processor (tho not the
Asus one quoted earlier in this thread) and the kind of low-power you
can get from it doesn't compare to the kind of low-power I can get from
my Mele-A2000, both of which are otherwise connected to comparable
devices (one 2½" 2TB drive, plus a screen and keyboard-with-trackpoint).

It's basically 30W versus 3W.

I'd recommend something like the Mele as NAS, except for a few problems:
- only 1 SATA port.
- the built-in wifi sucks (at least for me).
