superb!
ok, for future reference, can i recommend that you create a wiki page
and then post a link with the information on it? look at
linux-sunxi.org's wiki, look at the rhombus-tech.net wiki, it's
standard practice.
information becomes *completely* lost and impossible to find in a
mailing list (and a forum).
so what i've done - on your behalf - is to cut/paste exactly the text
below and put it into a page, here:

yes - you do need to modprobe sw_ahci_platform (and have compiled it).

it would be helpful - again, i've mentioned this i believe it is now
the 6th time - that you need to tell people exactly what version of
exactly what it is that you've provided.
is it a debian image? is it ubuntu? is it puppy linux? which
version, which distribution? which kernel version is provided? what
version of u-boot? and so on.
these are important questions! not least because, as you've now made
a binary distribution, you're now obligated to provide the full source
on request.

you may have missed the message i sent last night - i'm looking into
getting sata to work on lkcl-3.3-dev [or making a decision to abandon
it].
if you want to test sata, use the sunxi-3.4 kernel.
LCD you just modify the script.fex file, putting the sections i
recommended in it.
