I was using the u-boot from the u-boot-sunxi github repo, as per the
instructions earlier in the thread. Specifically, I'm at commit
e94cff9.

Also - I don't think I'm going to bother rejiggering the ethernet
jack, because I have notification that my MEB should arrive later this
week :) I'll keep you posted.
