Just some comments about TI Cortex A8 processors.
I haven't checked into details how small EOMA-26 is, but it's possible 
to make a module that small:

I don't know the price of the processor, but a recent SoM based on Ti 
Sitara AM3552 sells for $27 per unit (1k order).
