 if you've spent the time contacting these individual companies you'll
know why.  the pricing isn't listed, so it's necessary to contact
*all* of them.  they don't tell you if they bought the items as an
end-of-life job lot.  they often lie about the details (or just get
them wrong).  they often don't put the datasheets up.  and half a
dozen other reasons too numerous to go through.

 and if you put out a "buying lead", describing *exactly* what you
want, you get flooded with SPAM from people who clearly haven't read a
single word of what you wrote.

 so rather than spend (literally) several months vetting all these
companies, they'd rather go on mouser.com or digikey, where all
products are clearly entered into a consistent database that allows
them to evaluate *exactly* what the product is, does and costs.

 so the main reason for putting out a request for help is in case
anyone has *DIRECT* contact with a supplier that has the right part,
or in case anyone is prepared to help this company out pre-vetting
suppliers.
