Indeed, the *TX form factor is a huge benefit.

Thankfully, the copy-cats are frequently better (and more easily
available, which is probably more important) than the original. :)

I'm guessing it's probably down to the chips that are normally used for
BIOSes being used for, e.g., uboot.
