Small steps. Be honest about your goals. And don't get hung up on
details sidetracking you from your goals.
Hardware accelerated video decoding is not life/death, Don't push
requiring that to be available with good quality free drivers in first
generation products. Same for 3D. The A10 have great potential as a free
software hardware even without accelerated video decoding or working 3D
support.
Keep in mind that endorsing free software is a statement and do involve
some sacrifices in that you are deliberately limiting your choices to
only involve free software, Same for FSF endorsed hardware, the
criterias is mostly about your decisions as software provider for your
hardware and not so much the actual hardware.
Please note that you can not restrict a hardware to only run free
software while still supporting the freedoms of free software. It's all
about your standpoint, not about what the hardware is capable of.
