[Arm-netbook] building a device driver

assuming i have an allwinner-a10 device running ics.
can anyone point me at a resource explaing how i am going to compile and  
install a device driver for a particular piece of hardware i want to talk  
to?

the driver is tiny, but the "closed source" library that sits on top of it  
assumes that it is talking to the driver.

i would be ever so grateful if somebody could help me.
