Exactly. Complicated mess to both boot from SD and use the same pins as
console..

I hope to get around to unwrap the USB/FEL initial boot process which
will greatly help this as it gets rid of the SD-card dependency for easy
booting. The goal is to be able to load SPL via USB/FEL and then switch
to serial for u-boot + kernel etc..

Full USB device support is still a little further off on the horizon,
but when that is in place the whole boot process will be controllable
over USB alone.
