Yes sorry, already solved it this morning.

You are half right. It was a rootfs issue, but not the console.

As one of the SD card speed/optimize tweak I had "datamode=writeback"
in fstab for "/", but then you need to put that as rootflag during
boot as well.

Quickly solved it by removing the datamode from the fstab, will create
a new boot.scr including the rootflag a bit later.

My Linaro is already booting with an initramfs, solving a lot of
errors during boot ;)

Will do some last tweaks and tests and will then document it at the
wiki. (still need to document all my sdcard speed tweaks as well so
....)
