That's part of the fun. They have to be in the same price range as other 
similar parts or they won't be able to sell them.

They don't want consumers to know how much margin is in products. Apple 
charges hundreds more for a few dollar difference in Flash for the iPad. 
You aren't supposed to know this! Then again since it is a status 
symbol, you're not supposed to care.
