yyyep, that was the plan. micro-hdmi (type d preferably, it's about
the same size as USB-OTG), USB-OTG, microsd and a 4-wire 2.5in HP jack
with stereo headphones and mic. there _might_ be enough room (i
didn't realise type d micro-hdmi existed until last week) for another
jack: maybe analog tv out.
on the kicad schematics i created, i've located the parts, copied
some over from ben nanonote, and others from the openmoko GTA02
(svn.openmoko.org came back up about 10 days ago, it was offline prior
to that).
micro-hdmi: assume 10mm.
USB-OTG: assume 11mm
micro-sd: assume 12mm
4-wire 2.5mm audio jack: 8mm
that's a total of 41mm. there's still 17mm left! even if you spaced
those out a bit, so that the cables don't interfere with each other,
there's still plenty of room for an analog tv out.

standard feature.
... actually we really wanted 2 - one for an OS which would be a
read-only SDcard. that would make the problems associated with
hacking literally go away ["oh dear, virus problem? switch it off and
on again sir"]. the other one, yes, for user data.

combine these:
* pin group F: http://rhombus-tech.net/allwinner_a10/pinouts/
* breakout board: http://en.qi-hardware.com/wiki/UBB
and you have the means to debug the allwinner board (like tom
described) by just changing the boot setup, *without* modifying the
hardware, unscrewing it etc. etc. you have direct access to one of the
JTAG ports.
