The nice thing about having an open bootloader and kernel source is that 
you can modify the clock speeds of the CPU, GPU and DDR3. If you can 
live with less speed you can lower the power consumption.

One thing we haven't discussed is having the backplane be able to detect 
the type of module that is plugged in. There could be more power pins or 
different arrangements of I/O pins based on what the module ID is. The 
ID's could be simple pin straps that are read when the module is first 
plugged in.

It's possible to support an x86 in this form factor as well.
