But what can the RGB output do?  Or did you plan to put the hdmi in loopback, to drive the screen?  Actually... could you have your laptop with two screens, and drive the second with the HDMI out?

Wasn't there a laptop that had a slide-out second display?  Ah, here it is.  http://www.ohgizmo.com/2008/12/23/ibm-thinkpad-w700ds-laptop-has-slide-out-second-display/  Though, the cord situation would be a little odd, since you have to run the HDMI from the outside of the EOMA to the chassis input.

As far as actually calling it 2160p...  Is it possible that the term is applied wrong?  With two outputs (three?), you might get the right number of pixels (8.3 million), but the wrong number of displays (1).  It is no far stretch in my mind to think "2 times 1080p is 2160p, rite?" either.
