Well, I'm using an AC100 with 1280x720 at the moment. It's not great,
but it's borderline possible to make-do with without lugging a full fat
15" laptop.

Sure - so on a 15" screen the power saving in absolute terms would also
be 2.5x bigger. :)

Yeah, it's quite lame, it is bound to cause all kinds of scaling issues
in most sane use-cases.
