[Arm-netbook] Issue with system date

Is anybody else seeing the following issue?

The system date can be set and saved to the hardware clock without 
problems. If the system is powered off and booted later, the clock will be 
set correctly.

However, if the system is left off for a longer period, the hardware clock 
will reset itself to Dec 17 2016, even if the battery is full and the 
netbook is connected to AC.

Extremely annoying...
