Looks like a mirror image problem.
Pin 7 is the notch end of the sata connector.

If you have an uSD image I could download and try
that should prove sata can work,
then I got connector and engineering bits
to make it all work tonight.
Otherwise Tuesday/Wednesday before I can try.
