[Arm-netbook] Selecting/controlling audio out on Mele-A2000

IIUC the HDMI audio out on the Mele-A2000 is separate from the audio-out
on the RCA connectors, so I should be able to play music out on the RCA
output while watching a movie on the HDMI output, right?

If so, how would I go about doing this?  [ Ideally the music would be
played by MPD, running inside a Debian chroot. ]
