Yes.

Or by connecting UART and pressing the right key during boot1 (1 or 2, I

It's not yet a "replacement for livesuit", but it does give you a fully
controlled boot process using USB, including the ability to boot a
kernel + initrd with USB serial or USB networking if you prefer. I.e.
much better than livesuit for most of us :)

The fel command and associated usb-boot shell script is in sunxi-tools.
The usb-boot just automates the steps needed to transfer u-boot + kernel
+ initrd over USB using the fel command.

u-boot (and the initial u-boot fel spl) is in sunxi u-boot. EOMA68-A20
support is in the sunxi-current branch, soon to be merged into the
standard sunxi branch (only need to run a couple more tests firsts).

fel-boot was an earlier name for this thing before support got properly
integrated into the sunxi u-boot tree. RIP fel-boot.
