What's the upper limit of the display res?; there are an awful lot of
good people buying Mac laptops due to their very nice display, and
the only alternative is the Google Pixel whose storage/CPU is rather
underpowered.

(This kit idea sounds great for companies that want to demonstrate
some extra thing they want to put into a laptop/system or need a
relatively small set of specialised laptops)
