Absolutely. A Mele or Mk802 connected to a TV is pretty useless without
VPU/GPU support. A laptop running LXDE or awesome, is a different kettle of
fish. 

I think the biggest hope for GPU support, is that a whole load of devices
with MALI (or whatever) get out there into the hands of people who want the
support and can help provide it.

Let's just hope they haven't done something silly and locked the bootloader
(previous evidence would suggest not, but you never can tell).
