 yes it does: remember, i have git commit access, i do a "git pull" on
a regular basis, i see random files, i go "what the heck's that?" and
i tidy it up.

 ... but if it's not there, i won't see it, will i?

 wikis are more than just "structured information", they're "static
structured information".  the mailing list is "fire-and-forget".  it's
like a differential equation.

 if you know maths, mailing-list and especially IRC is like an
integral of wiki and source code.  in other words, mailing list and
IRC are a VERY brief snapshot window, a glimpse onto forward progress.
