[Arm-netbook] which git tree should i be using for the kernel?

there are millions of them.
where is the focus of activity?

i ask because i am trying to create a driver to replace the binary  
dmt0567.ko that my distribution uses.
my research leads me to understand that this is a driver for the  
DMARD0[567] range of chips; whih in turn appear to be clones of the  
MMA7660. so i am trying to build that for 3.0.8. but it is a 2.6.x driver  
and i'm getting bogged down in that. hence my question.
