cm7 = cyanogenmod 7 aka. gingerbread aosp (with extra goodness) ported
to over 70 devices

cm9 = cyanogenmod 9 aka. ics aosp (also with extra goodness) ported to
as large a subset of the above as is possible

so it is aosp for the masses. 100's of thousands of devices running it.

would be a good android distribution to support on this device as there
is a large group of developers associated with it and a very active user
