folks, hi,

progress on the 48-hour round-trip to china is creeping inexorably
towards resolution: we've been offered the choice of PADS netlist
file-formatted data for either 4x DDR2, 2x DDR3 or 4x DDR3 PCB layouts
for the critical, critical part: CPU-to-RAM.

no mention of the word "cost" or "invoice" in any of these messages so
i've mentioned that i'd raise the profile of wits-tech somewhat in
exchange for the netlist file.

i also asked them if they could consider giving us the data in EDIF
format as well because i couldn't find a PADS-to-KiCAD converter but
an EDIF-to-KiCAD was easy to locate.

if the only thing to be received is that CPU-to-DDR3 layout then it
justifies continuing the board development in KiCAD - apart from
anything it's a good exercise, and i'm kinda enjoying it.

l.
