I have successfully used DiffPDF to determine changes to the script for a play in which my daughters had parts. I only had to reprint ~10 of >60 pages.

coool. i'm... puzzled why i haven't heard of it before, i could really have done with knowing about it when PADS manages to damage files by accidentally removing GND shielding vias (a known bug)

I hadn't heard of it before I needed it but upon searching it came up. Somebody else must have had the same need and used libre software to scratch the itch.
