Yes, 48MHz seems to be the EXCLK frequency for this particular generation of JZ SoCs: the JZ4780 uses that frequency for the CI20. As for the PLLs, the clock configuration seems to change from SoC to SoC, but they are probably similar, and documentation, kernel and U-Boot support should be out there for perusal.

ok - well, i've still got 2 of the cards around somewhere, and i can order some 48mhz XTALs: i have a heat gun so should be ok to put them in.
i have no idea what kinds of volumes to expect.
Demand or supply volume? As for demand, it is difficult to say, but I thought some reporting of things from the wider world might help you decide what might be worthwhile doing in future, especially if most of the work is done.
