Hello Luke, two ideas: Have you ever thought aboat contacting Fairphone? They have similar goals. Maybe you could write an guest-article on their blog. - It would be great, if you could partner with them in the future for producing the Card with their fair substances and fairer working conditions. Would it be possible to get a card wit preinstalled nextcloud? EOMA-68 laptop Keyboard support improvement pushed

Hi all, I have gone ahead and pushed my latest round of improvements for keyboard support in the EOMA-68 laptop EC firmware. The new feature is support for modifiers (ctrl, shift, alt, GUI). Previously, these were sent as key codes, now they are sent within the modifier. For those to whom this is pure gibberish, it basically means that now "shift-a" *will* show as "A" (unless you've hit the Caps Lock key, of course, in which case "shift-A" will show as "a"), Alt-tab *will* cycle through your apps "Ctrl-C" *will* break that running process in your console, etc. Basically, the keyboard is now as functional as any other USB keyboard (except for two keys on the AZERTY matrix which seem to differ wrt the QWERTY matrix; that's a trivial issue and precisely the kind of thing I've initially set out to find and fix). I've also made some less visible changes, mainly to optimize GPIO access (for which there is still some improvement simmering gently here). Amicalement, -- Albert.

Future CPU cards

Not wanting to revisit the discussion about the A20 but, instead, think about other processors that might perform better in the comparison table on this page: http://rhombus-tech.net/crowdsupply/ I have no idea if it's even reasonable to discuss these as possible options, so don't all jump on me at once. :-) For example, the i.MX 6UltraLite could be interesting because it doesn't, as far as I can tell, contain a GPU: https://www.nxp.com/iMX6UltraLite I suppose some might think of it as the runt of the i.MX6 litter for that reason. ;-) Some of the other processor families seem to be quite frugal with regards to power consumption, and can still support reasonable display resolutions. Polishing keyboard support

Hi Luke and all, I am polishing a new push for keyboard, mainly adding support for modifiers (ctrl, shift, alt, GUI) -- this makes the keyboard fully useable under any reasonable OS. While I was at it, I ran a full check on my AZERTY keyboard's layout, and found two keys in its matrix which the EC SW maps to 0x00 ('no key') in the current code. Namely: row 1, column 5: keypad "+" row f, column 4: keyboard "DEL" Keypad "+" is present in the SW matrix, but at row 1, column 1 (which on my keyboard maps to no key). Keyboard "DEL" does not seem to be mapped in the SW matrix. Luke, could you check the QWERTY keyboard matrix position for those two keys? I'd like to make sure whether we can use the same SW matrix for both keyboards or whether we need two. Amicalement, -- Albert.
