EOMA68-A20 needs a nickname

EOMA68-A20 CPU Card is difficult to pronounce and remember. It needs a short cute nickname. For example, cubieboard, cubieboard2 and cubieboard truck all have a short easy to pronounce and remember name "cubie." Apple includes "i" in the name of their products. Beaglebone Black and the other Beagle boards have the cute name "Beagle" in their boards. I recommend Rhombus-Tech to request manufacturers of future products containing the EOMA68 card to include its nickname in the brand name of the product. thereby, consumers would know that EOMA68 is inside. For example, "Improv nickname board." Rhombus-tech's EOMA68 is too obscure. Forums of ARM boards don't discuss EOMA68. There is little publicity. Including the nickname in future products would give publicity to both the product and the EOMA card. VOIP working?

Hi, Anyone got VOIP working? Twinkle is not in the Ubuntu 13.04 arm repository :( High priority I think - saves guys and dolls a lot of money if their EOMA is able to double up as VOIP terminal with a plugin generic USB sound module.

This guy seems to be doing interesting stuff: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/214379695/micro-python-python-for-micro… One way to use his board is to connect via USB and drag and drop a python file and suddenly you are doing embedded controller stuff :)

Progress on Mer/KDE image

Hi all, since some people expressed the interest to try the current status of the mer/kde image, I uploaded it here: http://makeplaylive.com/~notmart/plasma-active-armv7hl-sunxi-eoma68-improv-… it needs an eoma68 A20 configured to boot from microsd. it boots to console, and kde can be started with init 5 desktop effects should work out of the box. Upcoming CPU Card Status?

Hi. Deciding weather to put a order in for a a20+devboard or too wait. I prefer the specs of the upcoming cpu cards. I need all the ram I can get preferably but I also would like 3D/GPU for gnome-shell providing there's free drivers and firmware other wise I'd compromise for the most free cpu card. So rough err ETA of the up coming cpu cards and I assume that very nice devboard from make-play-live will be possible to get without the a20 card in 2014? Thanks muchly.

[eoma68] mini desktop pc

http://rhombus-tech.net/community_ideas/mini_desktop/news/Revision_1_routin… started this a week or so ago, it's been very rapid to complete because all the parts have been available from the other two products. it started as a copy of the flying squirrel; the audio section has been completely left as-is, and it turned rapidly into a desktop through the addition of the VGA and power circuits from the router. so that's three major I/O board products in the pipeline. anyone got any suggestions on what to do next? laptop PCB? small robotics system? l.

chris, joe, aaron, could i possibly ask you if you could put down some very brief info on these three products? i'lll maintain the structure, etc. for now, the wiki is being used in lieu of a database (TBD), and, crucially, it will be the point where EOMA68 IDs will be recorded until we've a proper registry set up. we'll be working on that shortly but i still want a single central place where feature boards (I/O boards) are registered and tracked. thanks, l.
