Tested under Android, since we don't have video decoder support in Linux yet.

Depends on how the decoded frame is displayed. Via some type of overlaydirectly to the display or by drawing it on a polygon as a texture using opengl, etc.
There must still be some kind of RAMDAC that can be programmed manually insidethe GPU.
