[Arm-netbook] Implementing multiple flash roms

What changes would i need to make to set up two or more nand flash ic's.  I know there are settings in the image config and the script bin files, are there any other things that would need to be done such as recooking the bimage?  
Also is there any issues with saying that there are more flash ic's than there are and letting the system correct or does that number need to reflect the actual number installed?
